Dear Tomas reworks a sequence from Ingmar Bergman’s 1963 film Winter Light (Swedish - Nattvardsgästerna). Exploring the complex interactions between experiences of complicity, vulnerability, revenge, love, and religion, the work presents an unfolding scene of a priest opening and reading a letter from his past lover, which is complicated by the separation of voice and subtitles and the inclusion of layered, collaged elements.
